Line filter stage I

ALUP line filters – from small consumers to large industries, with a flow capacity of up to 42,500 L/min.

Stage I line filter is the first and most important step in compressed air purification. Stage I filters remove larger dust and dirt particles as well as most of the oil and moisture. They also help extend the service life of compressed air pipelines, air tools, valves, and other compressed air equipment by reducing wear and maintenance costs.

Atmospheric air contains many undesirable impurities such as dust, various hydrocarbons, and water vapor. All of these are drawn into the compressor, compressed, and carried further into the compressed air system together with compressor oil particles. If not removed, they can form abrasive and/or corrosive emulsions that:

  • damage compressed air lines and increase the risk of leaks

  • reduce the efficiency and lifespan of compressed air equipment

  • deteriorate the quality of the final product

  • limit the reliability and safety of the production process

Therefore, it is recommended to equip the entire compressed air system with a primary line filter to improve air quality and protect equipment, and, if necessary, later add stage II and III filters.

Parameters of the Stage I line filter:

  • Particle removal (µm): 1–5

  • Output oil aerosol concentration (mg/m³): 0.3–1

  • Total mass efficiency (%): >90–>99.25

  • Outlet air quality class (particles / oil): 4/3, -/3, 3/-

  • Initial pressure drop in dry applications (bar): 0.05–0.055

  • Initial pressure drop in wet applications (bar): 0.125–0.08
