Line filter stage III (Activated carbon filter)
ALUP carbon filters – for the removal of odors and vaporized oil particles
Carbon filters, also known as activated carbon filters, are the final stage in the compressed air purification chain. They remove vaporized hydrocarbons, odors, and oil vapors from compressed air that even fine filters cannot capture. They are used in applications where odor-free and oil-free compressed air is required, and where even the slightest smell or oil residue could cause defects. The structure of activated carbon chemically binds organic vapors and gases, providing the highest level of purity.
A carbon filter requires pre-cleaned air (using Stage I and II line filters), as it cannot withstand high amounts of moisture or solid particles.
Parameters of the carbon filter:
-
Particle removal (µm): -
-
Output oil aerosol concentration (mg/m³): 0,003
-
Total mass efficiency (%): -
-
Outlet air quality class (particles / oil): - /1
-
Initial pressure drop in dry applications (bar): 0,115
-
Initial pressure drop in wet applications (bar): -
