Accumulation conveyor for a robotic packer after the packaging machine. The accumulation conveyor helps ensure consistent productivity throughout the entire production line and packaging machine, from which finished packages are transferred onto the conveyor. Accumulation at the end of the production line before robotic palletizing is important because the operating speed of the automatic palletizing process can vary (e.g. pallet changes, adding slip sheets, pallet wrapping, and many other reasons). Packages of different sizes are always guided from two defined sides into the same position on the picking table. This allows the robot pick point to remain in a fixed location regardless of package size.
